Meet the team

Steve Coleby – Managing Director, Morgan Sindall Investments
Steve oversees all of the Lovell business operations, people and ventures. Having joined Lovell in April 2018, Steve brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge in both building and infrastructure. Prior to joining Lovell, Steve spent his entire 25 year career with Laing O’Rourke. FRICS qualified, Steve held several senior roles with Laing O’Rourke including Commercial Director of the £2.5b European Hub and Managing Director of UK Infrastructure before coming Managing Director of the £1b revenue UK Construction business.

Neil Hicklin
Neil is Commercial Director of Lovell Later Living. Neil brings a career’s worth of commercial experience having started out within Quantity Surveying. He has been with Lovell for 19 years and within the industry for 34 years. His experience has been across both new build and refurbishment, private and public general Contracting, and has included the Commercial Management of major PFI bids and contracts.  Most recently Neil has fulfilled the role of Commercial Director and Deputy Regional Director for Lovell Major Projects, working on a ground breaking large scale low rise, fast track, Service Family Accommodation scheme, delivered in partnership with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation as part of the Army Basing Programme.

Scott Pluthero
Scott is an expert in land acquisition with significant experience having worked across various property sectors for blue chip Plc organisations, start-ups and privately funded SMEs acquiring mixed use, large regeneration, retirement and extra care sites.

Scott is Development Director -Land for Lovell Later Living, responsible for overseeing land acquisition and delivering the later living development pipeline.  With a focus on growing the business, Scott will be looking to draw from his track record within the later living industry where he has delivered in excess of £330m in development value.  In addition to oversight of Later Living land aspects, Scott also provides strategic advice across the Lovell Group contributing to the overall development strategy.

Paul Brand
Paul is the Development Director for Lovell Later Living. Paul has managed the delivery of a number of PPP style projects, including a co-located Health Centre and Primary School in Surbiton, and a new Community Hospital in Eltham. Paul is the appointed Board member on 7 NHS LIFTCos across the country. During his involvement with NHS LIFT, Paul has successfully delivered five large primary care and education developments with a total development value in excess of £45 million.

David Lane
With over 25 years of experience in construction and infrastructure, David has spent the last 15 years primarily focusing on delivering projects and services within public private partnerships in the UK. David is Operations Director for Lovell Later Living and sits on the board of HB Villages and hub West Scotland (the Scottish version of LIFT).
